The Virtual Ally Program
As IR practitioners, we are naturally "allied" with one another but as a virtual community, it's a little harder to connect with one another when you need a sounding board, have a question or just want to explore current issues with a peer. That's where the Virtual Ally Program comes into play.
Virtual Ally chat sessions are telephone-based open discussions of IR issues, challenges, and concerns. The goal is to:
- Provide easy access other Virtual Chapter members
- Offer a private online setting for off-the-record interaction; ; topics are determined real time by the participants
- Allow YOU to determine your level of participation; no pre-registration is required
- Let you self-select with whom you want additional contact
Virtual Ally Rules of Engagement
- Participation in Virtual Ally Program chat sessions is voluntary. Common courtesy is paramount to the success of the Virtual Ally program. Professional language is encouraged and profanity is strongly discouraged.
- All discussions are considered "off the record" and should not be repeated in any other forum without prior permission from the participant.
- Participants agree to share their name, affiliation and phone number with each other. This information is then distributed to each participant following the chat session. Participants may then contact each other-for follow up-as they choose
- The NIRI Virtual Chapter, its board of directors, and NIRI National do not control or endorse the content presented or opinions expressed during Virtual Ally Program chat sessions.
- The NIRI Virtual Chapter, its board of directors, and NIRI National are not responsible for the functionality of the service provider that hosts the chat sessions.
